Products I love- Starting with Rice

In addition to talking about family and nursing, one of the things I would like to blog about is products... I am a real, live, human guinea pig. I love to try new stuff. Sometimes, I find something I cant live without. Other times, I feel like I really wasted my money. Each week (at least once), I am going to blog about something I tried and liked or did not like.

Today I want to blog about something I never liked until I tried this product- RICE- I am a potato girl, and never cared for rice. I could eat it in chinese food, etc, but I definitely didnt look forward to rice. 30 years of rice eating and I never liked, well... white rice to be specific. Now I found the perfect rice- It is Mahatma. I love it, the kids love, and it is delicious. What is best about this rice is that it is inexpensive and also easy to cook. It does not take long to cook at all. It is just great tasting rice. The consistency is also perfect. It may seem silly to some to have a preference for rice, but you won't buy another rice after you try Mahatma. Of course I still buy the flavored type rices.. but for plain, white, rice- This is by far the best!!!!

Okay, New start

I didnt get off to a very good start with my blog... I have alot going on, but I think its all under control now. I just finished my LPN program, and now I started the RN program yesterday. The hardest thing is that I cant work until I get my license, and I cant get my license until the Fl department of health approves me to take the NCLEX board exam... SO! Im waiting.... :)

Online classes are a little bit of a pain, and obviously take self discipline. I need to get a schedule down. My boys are going back to school Monday and I have been running around registering one, and changing out uniforms for the other.

Tired, but in the end, it will be all worth it. I have a true love of labor and delivery and I am strongly considering a future goal of being a nurse midwife. The other place I love is the Operating Room, so we will see! :)

Heading into the last 6 weeks of my program!!

Well, I have surprised myself... figured along the way there would be a ton of roadblocks (and believe me, there were.) However, it looks like I actually have made it through the first part- LPN- of the program. I have already been accepted into the RN program and it starts 10 days later. I have been applying for scholarships and supposedly there are alot out there.... but where?  I really need to find something, as this part of the program is very expensive. Any ideas out there???
